Summer Camp
The Center is OPENED YEAR ROUND!
During the summer our Preschool curriculum continues.
The children will continue to focus on the following components:
- Language Arts
- Phonics
- Math Readiness
- Problem Solving
- Science
- Arts and Crafts
- Music
- Dramatic Play
These components will be included with the following themes:
- Happy Birthday America
- Under the Sea
- Around the World
- Camping Out
- Jungle Fun
- Space Adventure
During the summer, the staff will assessing all preschool children to determine at what developmental level they are at and if there is any particular area that extra attention is needed. These assessments will also assist the staff with planning for the upcoming school year. Parents will receive a copy of the assessment.
For students aged 5 - 11 years, our camp will be providing a Reading and Math enrichment program. They will be reviewing what they learned during the school year and preparing for the upcoming school year.
The children will do daily activities covering the following:
- Math Word Problems
- Math Foundations
- Reading Comprehension
- Language Arts
- Science
- Social Studies
- Arts and Crafts
- Music
- Physical Fitness
- Cooking
Children who are in first grade and above will also go swimming twice a week at the Heritage Square Apartments Swimming Pool. Parent permission is required and you will need to provide swimsuit/trunks, towels and swim shoes. All items must be labeled, as the center will not be held responsible for un-labeled items.
All children attending Summer Camp will have the opportunity to go on exciting field trips.
